Eight Years. Three Countries. Real Impact.

Mel Gollan spent eight years turning an idea into a company that operated across three countries and held multiple government contracts. Her focus was specific: build technology that delivers efficiency for impact. Now her focus helps the most vulnerable people access food and basic support, not technology for its own sake. She has a talent for taking complex, tangled problems and engineering a single strategy that addresses several challenges at once. That ability shaped everything she built.

She sees AI and connected infrastructure as tools that should serve communities and taxpayers equally. Her goal is to give government agencies fiscally efficient workflows so their people can spend less time on process and more time serving the humans they support. Technology, in her view, should make life smoother and free up people to be more human, not less.

Leading With Grit, Giving With Purpose

Her leadership style was forged in sport, where you learn fast that resilience and playing to each person's strengths matter more than any single plan. She carries that same mindset into her work and her giving. She is actively involved in efforts around food security, supports breast cancer fundraising, the Ronald McDonald House, and has an idea on how to deliver education access for foster children, a group close to her heart she describes as having the grit of gold medal athletes.

Her advice to women entering technology is direct: treat it like any other field, lead with empathy, and if you see a gap, build the solution yourself. She believes the best ideas start with a genuine need and a willingness to commit fully. That belief is what pushed her into entrepreneurship in the first place, and it still drives the work she does today.
